Life Story: Question 7

Question #7: Do you typically quit before achieving your goals?

We all love the idea of New Year’s resolutions, but we all make jokes about the fact that we hardly ever achieve them. In fact, the University of Scranton research suggests that only about 8% of people achieve their New Year’s resolutions.

While there’s lots of reasons why the majority of people don’t achieve their goals, your reason could be not having the right perspective. If we were faced with the choice of dying or waking up everyday and working out, I think more of us would work out. However, I’m sure there’s research out there that would tell us we’re more likely to live longer if we work out.

The point is often we don’t keep the right perspective on why we need to achieve our goals. By taking time to write the ending to the story we want to live, we can see that perspective with clarity and choose to keep it center stage.

This year, be one of the 8% that achieve their goals by having the right perspective. I know I may sound like a broken record, but write your Life Story.
